Modern day slavery is a problem that millions of people are trapped in (estimated 27 million), and one that millions of people are completely unaware of.
The Other Face of Freedom is based on a story told by a surviving women who was sold into sex slavery. Every story differs, each holds it’s own horrors and pains, and sadly only 1% of victims ever get out.
- Human traffickers make profits of up to $32 billion a year. That’s over $1000 per second.
- There are an estimated 13 million children trapped in slavery at this moment.
- Up to 4 million people are trafficked across borders each year.
- Over 50% of all human traffic victims are children.
- 99% of victims are still not rescued.
