The title says it all.
Though my reasons are a little more fuzzy. Do I love to shoot film because even when a reel is out of date you still get an authentic image, where its flaws only add to the appeal?
Or maybe it’s the fascination of the mechanics of it. How the basics haven’t changed in tens of years and how regardless of the digital evolution around us a film camera still stands up, performs a knockout and takes a bow, thank you very much.
Perhaps it’s because there’s a little girl inside me that is always reminded of the leather smell of Dad’s epic camera case, who still falls in love with the sound of a shutter click. Over and over.
